I am American and I would have loved the U.S. to win, but I’m happy we didn’t for the fans and people of Ireland and for Darren Clarke and his Irish golfing Mates, Paul McGinley and Padraig Harrington, who later admitted how sad he would have been to have lost the Cup at home (this was the first time in Ryder Cup history that the event has been held in Ireland).
