Tiger Woods at the 2006 Deutsche Bank Championship

Tiger Woods wins 5th in a row - 7 for the 2006 Season
These are the sounds and colors of Tiger Woods as he systematically dismantled the Tournament Players Club of Boston and Vijay Singh’s three shot lead at the 2006 Deutsche Bank Championship. It was another awesome display as the dominant Tiger of 2000 re-emerged with his swing on its new plane, his tempo dialed in, and his command on his golf kingdom most secure. I know Tiger has been winning all year. My point is that it’s getting ‘automatic’ again. We expect him to win every time out and that’s what makes it like 2000 all over again. I agree with Paul Azinger - I just never get tired of watching Tiger when he plays like this and we are truly fortunate to be watching him on his quest to unseat Jack Nicklaus as the greatest golfer of all time.
What was Vijay Singh to do?
Well, if you do the math I guess he could have shot a 65 to hold on for a one stroke win. Given that he shot a 61 on the same course on Sunday (round 3) that wouldn’t seem too tall an order. Then again, with how Tiger Woods is playing you would have to wonder if Tiger would have simply shot an even better round to win it?
My only question now is whether Tiger Woods will bring his ‘A Game’ to the 2006 Ryder Cup at the K Club in Straffan, County Kildare, Ireland. Let’s hope so.

Julian/Shannon,
I was exploring the blogroll and noticed “That’s Wet”.
We must be kindred spirits of some kind. Golf is my passion nay obsession in my life outside my family. Even with my family both my boys (7 and 3) hit golf balls since being in diapers, and my daughter (1) is next! I’ve also been thinking, how can I start a blog about golf and parlay it into free rounds at some of my local tracks? Nice look! Nice idea! cheers,
Josh

Hi Josh, we’re so happy to have found you out here on the virtual fairways, where all our shots are pure, every hole is a birdie opportunity, and ‘That’s wet’ is an exclamation for the brew waiting for us at the 19th hole and not the result of our latest shot over the Blue Monster. Nice to hear that you have your ankle biters involved in the game - we believe strongly in the same practice. Happy Golfing!
